Buzzard Rock & Blues

Jim Price - Bass Guitar & Vocals

Jim Price

Born :- Derby after the war.

First guitar at the age of 10. Thought I was John Lennon for a couple of years. Switched to bass when I broke the two thin strings. Thought I was Bill Whyman for a while then realised !! I could make up my own riffs Wow!!!!!!! That was it! been making it up for the last 40 years. First Tour was with school show in 1966 we used to go round all the infant schools and play beatles songs, they used to throw old pennies at us for charity, used to hurt now and again but it was better than doing lessons. Managed to make a living at it for 20 years or so doing tours, summer seasons, cruiser’s, Mecca dance halls all sorts of stuff, in fact my missus says I could have made it !! if I wasn’t such an asshole when I was young “Oh well“. Influences are many and varied. Bass I think would have to be Jack Bruce and Andy Fraser, although Pino Paladino is a clever sod. Vocalists Paul Rogers, Delbert Mclinton. Drummers Keith White. Guitar Andy Kealey, and Rob Tomlinson. Keyboards tomo again another clever sod. Love playing the old blues/ rock with these Guys !!!! Rock On.
